Labor Day
Death Valley Miner’s Cabin Tour
September 3-6, 2010
YES... FREE! I'm going anyway, so why not have a fun group along? You must RSVP for details by emailing me at: bob.wohlers@discoveroffroading.com.
Here’s a real opportunity to see some of the best of Death Valley National Park and nearby surrounding area, with a special “twist.” This tour will take you to several old miner’s cabins, some of which are also “Adopt-A-Cabins” (cabins “adopted” by groups and reconstructed and cleaned for “first-come-first-serve” camper habitation).

Here’s the cabins we’ll visit: Stone Cabin, Briggs Cabin, Rita’s Cabin, World Beater Cabin, Minietta Cabin, Nelson Cabin, Buckhorn Cabin, and the old cabin at Lost Burro Mine.

We will set up camp near Ballarat Ghost Town or you may stay up the road at Panamint Springs Resort. Panamint Springs Resort has a motel, campground (with showers) and RV hookups. The campground at Ballarat is a “dry” campground and you need to self contained. For more information on Panamint Springs Resort go to www.deathvalley.com/psr/.
